Statement Covid-19

Maastricht, March 19th 2020 

 

Dear business partner, 

The coronavirus affects us all. The personal lives of all of us are turned upside down. The impact of the Covid-19 virus on the whole of society is huge. Many challenges are coming our way, whereby we are stronger with a joint approach. 

Our mission for the coming weeks is clear: to provide the best and safest possible environment for our employees and customers and to keep our deliveries to you as good as possible. To accomplish this we need our partners (steel suppliers, decoil companies and transportation partners). 

Since neither we in the Netherlands and Germany and other countries are protected against such measures, we may have to decide on measures that could have an impact on our output and service level. Our partners (supplying factories, decoil partners and forwarders) have also informed us that measures are being taken. We assume that you understand that this can lead to capacity limitations and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Since the Covid-19 virus is force majeure and we are unable to estimate the further effects at this time, delays in deliveries to us and deliveries to you could potentially result. 

While we strive to achieve the agreed delivery dates to the best of our ability, we should point out as a precaution that previously agreed and future delivery dates are with reserves, regardless of contractual agreements. 

We assure you that Vogel Stahl will do everything in its power to be a reliable partner for you even in these difficult times. Unfortunately, also we have no influence on force majeure.
